Study Suggests Supplement May Provide Relief for Symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome
Supplements that contain essential fatty acids together with vitamin E have been shown to help women reduce their premenstrual syndrome symptoms. Reproductive Health, a research that came out of Brazil, reveals this information.
In the study, 120 women who were experiencing PMS or even with the so-called Severe Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder who took only one or two vitamin E capsules showed daily improvement in their symptoms. Additionally, these women took a gamma linolenic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, and polyunsaturated acids in comparison with women who were given placebos. Women showed greater improvements in PMS syndromes when given just two gram of the supplement rather than the one-gram dose.
